A week away!!!!

YEP! My 60 mile journey is exactly 1 week away from today!! I am getting so anxious, I can't explain the feelings going through me. This morning I went to pick up the t-shirts I had printed for us and they look awesome. I will post pictures for sure! This weekend Derek's step-father will be helping to design my dedication banner. This banner will represent the motivation for my walk, it means a lot that he is taking the time to help illustrate all of these things. I will try to scan and post this when it is complete! I am a little nervous for packing and camping. There are so many required items we need to bring but our bags need to be under 35 lbs. I think I might practice pack this weekend! As for the camping, since there are three of us in our team and only 2 people allowed per tent, I will be sharing a tent with a stranger. I am so nervous about this, seriously, I am one of those people that freaks out in large crowds, I hate being touched by people I don't know and I hate making small talk. I know this is a poor attitude but I can't help it, I really just like my space. Hopefully whoever is sharing a tent with me will respect this Barbies Bubble!!

Okay so yesterday was a blast. I forgot how much I love golfing. I also forgot how long it can take to finish 18 holes...seriously 6 hours after the first swing and I was ready to be done. Since it was a sponsored tournament, we took carts. I wanted to get the most out of this activity though so I titled myself "ball retriever" I figured the extra walking and bending would get me a few APs! If I calculate this activity as low moderation for 5.5 hours I earned 10 APs! Pretty good! I also tried plugging everything in at SP and came up with the same thing. I tried to be pretty good during the day but honestly the choices were slim.

I have to catch up on everything I missed yesterday, hope everyone has a great OP day, I'll be checking up on everyone!

Here are my goals for the week:
* Follow the Wendie plan for a second week. Day 2 Done
* Eat 5 servings fruit and veggies EVERYDAY! I Probably only got 3-4 in but I will make up for it!
* Drink 100 oz. of water daily. At least, man they need to invest in more toilets at that golf course!
* Get in at least 1 activity point everyday. 10 APs earned playing golf
* Get in at least 4 long walks or runs (6-12 miles).
* Use any APs earned above 4 in a day. 10 points earned and 6 used!

I'd have a hard time sharing space with a stranger, too, but the bright side is that you'll proally be so exhausted that you fall right to sleep! :o)

Have a Great Weekend!

I am there with you on the personal space and strangers touching etc. I freaked out just reading it. As long as it is a roomy tent and all you have to do is sleep there you should be ok. Just try and relax so that you get the rest you need for your event.
Good luck and enjoy it.

Congrats on all your APs yesterday, that is great!

Glad your golf outing was a success!

I wouldn't want to share a tent with a stranger either. I'm with dazey on this one...you'll probably be so exhausted after your walk you won't care! After I did the half marathon in May, I slept for 4 hours! You'll be so pooped out you probably won't care. :)

I also have an issue with my "personal space". We had a neighbor who was a "close talker" (you know like on Seinfeld). You'd move away from him and within seconds he'd be right back up in your face. It be like a dance. Move to the right, back up, move left --ha ha

can't wait to see pix!!!!

I think it's great you are doing this walk! I can't wait to hear about it. I totally know what you mean about sharing space. I hope that goes ok for you though!
