On that note, my walk is two weeks from this Friday!!! Can you believe it? I can't. I think I am fairly ready though, we sent our shirts in to be printed yesterday and we have two 13 mile walks this weekend for training. I talked with my dietitian yesterday afternoon about getting ready and she suggested taking it easy the week before the walk food wise. She wants me eating lean protein with each meal and "healthy carbs" at least four times a day. I am going to keep my water intake at about 100-120 oz/day (assuming the bloating goes away here). I have exactly 2 weeks left for training (giving myself two days of rest before the walk). I am planning on getting approx. 100 miles of walking/running in in that time (eek!). This is where I need all my great friends out there to help me!!! I need you to pray, hope, think NICE weather for us here in MN August 24-26!! I will remind you several times...regardless, I will be walking and camping to support Breast Cancer for 3 days and 2 nights but beautiful weather would make it so much better ;)
My title...the other day Tina was talking about skinny dipping and it reminded me of my grandma. Before you start getting the wrong idea, I have never been skinny dipping and I have no idea if my grandma has. My grandparents and my parents live on a lake (they are neighbors) and my grandparents have this old wood sign on the retaining wall by the beach that says "We don't skinny dip, we chunky dunk" ... as a small kid I never understood the sign but was convinced (thanks Grandma) that is had to do with donuts. Just made me laugh, darn kids! I saw the sign last night when we went swimming at the lake and felt like sharing the story with all of you!
Yesterday wasn't great food wise, i went over my points by 3...darn Ice Cream...I should have just gone to bed but sometimes it helps with my stomach issue so I thought I would give it a try. Luckily it was the last one so I shouldn't be tempted the rest of the week. I still have intentions of updating everyone on my little vacation, although it would be really late...we'll see.
Here is my menu from yesterday...

I can't believe the walk is almost here! Seems like just yesterday when you signed up for it. WOW!!! I will pray for nice, COOL weather--great for walking!
I understand the TMI issue, have the same problem myself. I hope you get "relief" soon. LOL!! :)
I've seen that Chunky Dunk sign in PA last year and LMAO. Too cute. Good luck on the walk, we'll all be thinking of you.
As for your water retention and other "issues" try some hot water with lemon in teh morning, that may help with the retention. Not sure why you would be constipated though since you are drinking so much water. Stress maybe?
Either way I hope you're knee gets better, that you lose your excess toxins (water etc.) and that you have amazing weather the 24-26 :).
If we can talk about pannuses, then we can certainly talk about constipation can't we? Sounds like you're working hard... good for you!
