School, work, at least today is Friday!

Well, today is Friday and I can't complain about that! The midterm was tough, that about sums it up. I studied a lot for it and I felt like I knew all the text questions, but a lot of the questions he used where problems, for example:
A steel manufacturer can fabricate 809 SF of steel per day. An erection team can erect 79 SF/hour. Assume a building that has 7409SF of Steel is scheduled to begin fabrication on Day 1. 6000 SF of steel is already on-site, the remaining 1,409 SF is delayed due to a transportation issue. Assume the remaining 1,409 will take 5 days to deliver and erection can begin on the morning of the 6th day. If you as a project manager would like the crew to work continuous schedules how long after fabrication begins should the erection begin onsite? Assume the crews are working normal 8 hour days.
WOW, I had to read these problems over and over again. Too many numbers, too many words! Hopefully I did okay, I would hate to screw up my GPA with my last class.
I had a quick meeting in the main office today and let's just say I left with very hurt feelings. I am busting my butt trying to get a head and sometimes it seems like a total waste. I know I have some of the right people behind my back so hopefully they will stand up once May rolls around. We did get word that we have been awarded a HUGE project. It will be my next project after the Hospital. I cannot wait! $90 Million project, that calls for a toast!
I have good intentions of doing a lot of work around the house this weekend. I want to get the kitchen, bedroom and laundry area painted. If we can manage this I think we will hire a professional to come in and do the foyer/great room area.
Today is day 4 OP! Can you believe it, I sure can't. I guess I just got fed up with all my excuses. I even behaved at dinner last night and we went out before the midterm so it wasn't easy! Have a great weekend everyone!

It's really Wednesday!

I have to keep telling myself that today is Wednesday because my body keeps telling me it's Tuesday, at least it's not the other way around though! So I didn't make it to the gym last night, I ended up working a 12 hour day and needed to refuel. I have my bag packed for tonight though so I will get in at least a few workouts this week.

I weighed in again this morning and I am already down 1 lb. so I am 1/2 way back to pre-vacation weight! That's not too bad!

So about FL! My sister and I of course hit all the outlet shops within an hour drive. I found black fur shawls for my bridesmaids at White House Black Market, originally $98 ea. What did I pay??? $6.49 ea. what a deal! They are so cute and perfect for my winter wedding. I will try to take a pic and post it in the next week. I also found small black evening bags from COACH (my obsession) originally sold for $89 ea. I picked them up for $30 ea. I was so excited to find these and now I don't have to worry about BM gifts. I also found men's leather gloves with cashmere lining from COACH for Derek to give to his Groomsmen.

I bought myself a new purse and matching wallet, a couple shirts and suit separates for work, and 8, yes 8 pairs of shoes. I know, I know...I'm crazy! I feel super guilty now but they are all so great and I really needed to update my shoes, other then my new boots I haven't bought new shoes in a long time (6-7 years). I found my shoes for the wedding! I LOVE them!

I might be more excited to wear these then anything else!!! Okay maybe not but I am so glad I found something that will work well for the wedding but is also something that I will totally wear again. That is pretty much all I bought while I was there, we ended up having to ship most of the shoes home because we ran out of space!
Anyhow, I'm sure I'll have more stories as the week goes on!

Tuesday

Salad -lettuce, chicken, apple, cheese, FF spray dressing (5)

2007 - 2008

This picture was taken March of 2007 on our annual trip to Florida.
And here is this year!

When I first saw the pictures I was upset because there isn't much difference and I lost nearly 20lbs. At second glance now I can see a difference in my face, my arms are more toned and my stomach is smaller. I am sure my legs/thigh area have shrunk as well.
Well, Florida was nice. I don't say great because the weather stunk, people were a bit crabby and I spent WAY to much money! I did find a lot of steals at the outlet shops though so it was worth it.
I weighed in this morning and was only up 2 lbs since before leaving for Florida almost 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure if it is a true gain though since I am expecting TOM to show up any day and my body has been a bit messed up from the weather change.
I will update more about the vacation tomorrow. I am planning on tracking for the next couple weeks. I know that I am within my comfort zone but I just want to get to the lower end of it again. I am heading back to the gym this week, so we will see how the surgery wounds take it!
As for decorating, I am available for helping design any nursery or room. My background is in Interior Design but I currently deal more with commercial construction so I don't get to do what I really love as much as I would like. As for the chandelier, I found it at Lowes. It was on the clearance rack at my local store so I am not sure if they have them at other locations or online. If your looking for something similar I have found similar deals at Target (part of the Shabby line) as well as Ikea.

Pictures

Here it is, the pretty pink nursery for Rosie! The changing table that currently works as a storage area for all of her toys!

The crib, seriously it looks brand new. I found the black/ivory toile bedding on clearance.

The chandelier I found in the clearance aisle. It has crystals all over it and makes really cool reflections on the walls.

Well, I am off to Florida in less then 24 hours. I will try to check in while I am there but I'm not sure I will have Internet. I am bringing to two memory sticks and four batteries so we will have tons of pics when I get back!! HUGS to everyone, I will miss all of my blogging buddies!!!

Quiz Time

The Easter Bunny is Coming!

Rosie is so excited for the Easter bunny! If you start to talk about it she gets all red and giddy and can't stop laughing...funniest thing ever! She has learned to say "That's funny" and whenever you laugh she points and says "tat funny"! We had such a ball this weekend. It was really cold all weekend so we didn't go out much but Rosie is at that age where anything can amuse her. Her favorite thing to do (besides put on makeup) was to follow around the cat going "meeoooowww" I felt bad for the little guy but it was so cute. She is surprisingly really good with the cats, she is very calm when she approaches them and she is VERY gentle when she pets them. So sweet.
So anyways, I was horrible this weekend. I ate french fries, stir fry, slice of pizza, chips and chocolate! I am up a pound as of this morning but hey, at least I am eating food again! I will be getting back to tracking and buckling down once I am back from Florida.
I cannot wait to get out of here! Just one more day of work and we are off to sunny Florida! WooHoo! It should be fun and interesting to have Rosie on the airplane. She is in Auntie mode recently and she gets mad if anyone else even touches something of hers if I am around. It's a lot of work for me but I feel very honored. What can I say? She is my little buddy!
About my surprise!!! Well I still don't have the pictures but I will let you in. I have been wanting to decorate some more around the house but since we have so many bills from my surgery we really don't have the extra cash to do to much. Well, we were walking into the grocery store 2 Fridays ago when I saw an older women unloading her trunk of a crib and changing table. There is a Once Upon A Child store right next door (baby consignment). Derek saw her as well and noticed her struggling with everything. We walked over to see if we could help out and she was so gracious. I took a closer look and was thinking, geez, this stuff looks brand new. Turns out she has a granddaughter in Arizona and she bought it for when she visits (total of 4 weekends), her granddaughter is too old for it now so she was going to give it away. I asked her how much she wanted for it and she said since we were so kind for helping her out that we could have both pieces. We gave her $50 anyways since she probably could have easily made $200+ for both pieces.
We spent the rest of the weekend painting the room, and setting everything up. We found an adorable chandelier for $20 in the clearance aisle of the hardware store. And I found a bunch of clearance sheets at Target. I bought some fabric at the fabric store to make some other pieces as well. It is so adorable and perfectly "Rosie"! She saw it for the first time on Friday and she threw her little arms in the air, screamed and ran around looking at everything. Every time someone came over she had to bring them up there to show off "her room"! I will try to get the pictures tonight and post tomorrow before I leave!

Well..

I really had all intentions of taking a few pictures to clue you in on the SURPRISE but it is still too soon to spill the beans (and no I am not prego!)!
I am so happy it is Friday, I get to pick up Rosie from daycare after work and she is spending the entire weekend with us. I cannot wait. My co-workers think I am nuts because I always say "I get to" and "I wish sister would let me" they all have 4-5 kids and would love the weekend/night off. I don't think I am crazy I just love her a lot!
Anyways, I feel very snazzy today. I had a photo shoot this morning for work so I took the time to put curlers in my hair and actually make myself up a little. Fridays are always relaxed at the site so all and all it's a good day!
I haven't been tracking great this week but I wouldn't say that I am off track either, just been very busy. I will be in Florida a week from today! Can you believe how fast time has been going? Well maybe that's just me but I swear it was just January a week ago!
Well, I have to get some stuff done but I promise to be back and with my hints next week! Have a GREAT and OP weekend everyone!!!!

MIA!

I don't have any excuses, I have just been crazy busy. Like Tina I hope I have not lost all my blogger buddies due to my lack of commenting and blogging!! I officially completed 2 of my 3 classes last night!!! I took 4 independent credits and completed everything yesterday! Needless to say I was stressed out over the weekend!
To add to the stress we received the first of many bills for the emergency Gall Bladder episode! I am quite certain I will top out my insurance limits and it's only the first week of March! Eek! I wasn't expecting these bills and they couldn't come at a worse time for us. Luckily my parents have offered to help in any way possible so I know that we will be okay in the end.
I spent this weekend trying to get things picked up around the house. I managed to go through all of my 2007 files and get everything to my Dad for taxes. I also managed to organize everything for 2008 so far.
I ended up having to reschedule my follow up appointment last week to Friday. Everything went fairly well. They pulled the last of the stitches out (hurt like hell) and gave me a referral to meet with a dietitian. Hopefully she can help me find some comfort in eating again. I am still having horrible gas and diarrhea every time I eat so I really hope I can get some answers!
I had WI this morning and I am back down to my comfort zone. I have been very good at tracking the last week although I'm not sure how that works with the diarrhea! I did get back on the treadmill for the first time on Monday. I had to take it really easy but it felt good. I think I might try to hit the gym again tonight. I cannot wait to get back into my running routine. I can totally tell a difference in my stomach (might have something to do with them cutting into the muscle, I'm not sure) but everything is supper flabby and puffy still. I want my flat stomach back :(
I need to upload some photos to show you my newest project...it's a surprise!!! I can't wait to show you though!!
