Arghh!!! This week is going by so slow! I learned on Monday that one of my incisions is a little infected, the doctor said it was perfectly normal andthat it might remain tender for a bit longer then the others. I have 4 incisions. One large on under my belly button, one large one right under my chest and two small ones on my right side. The larger incisions are very painful and becuase the doctors don't want me tearing any stitches I cannot lift anything more then 8-10 lbs. As I said on Monday this is much more restricting then I ever thought!
So here is a list of the things I am getting frustrated that I cannot do:
1. Go to the GYM!
2. 2-hole punch
3. Laundry
4. Vaccuum
5. PICK UP ROSIE and HUG, HUG, HUG her
6. fill the copier with paper
7. Carry my own book bag
8. Reach the top shelf
9. Take a U-Turn
10. Make the bed
11. Pick up the cat
12. Curl my hair
13. Pull down 3-ring binders for filing
14. RUN!
15. Go number 2!
16. Shop
17. Carry my Coach purse (it weighs 11 lbs. when I have everything in it)
18. Close the hatch on my car
19. Sit through a hockey game
20. Run up the stairs to class!
I am sure there are more things I will encounter over the next few days but I just thought it was amazing all the little things I used to think nothing of doing. I know this is only temporary but I think it will help me appreciate all that I can do when I am 100%
Hugs to everyone for your support and thoughts!!!

Oh my, they really chopped you up, didn't they?
Wow, that "can't do" list is awfully long. Poor thing. Hang in there - you'll be better soon!
Wow - when I read the part about putting paper in the copier I was blown away! I'm glad your surgery went well and you're able to get back to a somewhat semi-normal lifestyle.
Congrats on reaching your goal weight too! :)
awwww - hang in there! Things will get better don't worry. Had a friend in my office that had her gallbladder out and she was walking in three weeks and started her running regime back up in 5......she says that now she feels better than ever! So never fear - you are young and strong and will be back to your old self before you know it!!
In the meantime, take it easy and REST!! (((HUGS)))
Oh man!!! That list is long! But you will be back to normal in NO TIME! :) Hang in there and just concentrate on getting better.
