Well we made it to SD and back safe, it was a quick but much needed visit. Dereks grandmother is doing "all right". When we first landed in SD we called to see if we could visit and his mom told us she was brought back to ICU because they thought she had a heart attack. At this point everyone was thinking the worst. Friday was a long night, but Saturday rolled around and the doctor said her vitals were looking pretty good. Her speech is pretty bad and she has VERY limited movement. As of Sunday it sounded like she would be moved to a rehab center to see how her skills improved over the next couple weeks/months.
We spent almost the entire weekend sitting in the hospital waiting rooms so snacking was not an issue! I tried to pick healthy options when we did eat and we did a lot of walking at the airport. Sunday night I finished another 2 coats of paint in my guest room, I think it is finally done! I know it's nothing big but my arms get a good workout fro painting and it's better then just sitting on the couch!
Yesterday was crazy here at work. We have a lot of spring work getting ready to start so we needed to move out the construction trailers. I moved 2 years worth of work and files in 4 hours...I was exhausted! I was so tired that when I got home from work I fell asleep on the couch until 9! I made a quick sandwich and went to bed early. I think the rest was needed because I am totally on top of work this morning.
This week is going to be a test for me. Tonight I have a cocktail party to attend, tomorrow I am entertaining clients, Thursday is class and Friday we are going to a birthday party...when am I going to fit in the gym?!? I know that if I plan for it I can get my gym time in.
Oh, and the best news!!!! My sister joined WW last Thursday. She has been fighting her weight for a couple years now and she is determined to loose 30 lbs! I am really excited for her and I hope she has the same success I have had!

Oh, I'm so glad to hear you're back safe and sound. Derek's grandma will be in my prayers... Hospital waiting rooms are the pits! In all my waiting I've never once made a healthy choice... way to go on finding some good snacking!
You are a painting machine. Can I rent you for the weekend? :)
Good luck this week with all your busy-ness! If you can, find some YOU time.. sounds like you need a good chill session (and having surgery does NOT count).
And YAY.. another WW buddy.. will she start a blog? Please, please, please. :))
Glad you made it back safe and sound! And in time to paint your guest bedroom! That's awesome!!!
I wish your sister the best of luck and with you by her side, I am sure she will see the great success you've seen!
Sorry you had a stressful weekend - it's good to hear that Derek's grandmother is doing OK.
It sounds like you have a fun week ahead. Challenging, maybe, but much fun!
Yay for your sister, BTW.
I am so glad that you made it home in one piece! Girl I agree with Tina - you need some downtime.....snuggle up with Derik in your pj's for a whole day and just relax!
Your sister is lucky to have you in her corner - you are such an inspiration to all of us!
How are the wedding plans coming?
