I woke up with a case of the blahs yesterday. Scratchy throat, congested, hot and body aches...since I don't have any vacation time left, I pulled myself out of bed and got to work early. I didn't get much done between blowing the nose and coughing, but an emergency meeting kept me at work an hour and a half late. Since Derek was in class, I met up with my sister and Rosie and we went over to Davids Bridal.
Yes, I tried on a couple dresses. No I didn't find ANYTHING that I liked. How is it that I am a consistent size 4 in jeans yet I would need a size freakin 10 dress??? I felt like a whale in every dress she put on me. I thought I was happy with my weight, but I guess I still need some work. Derek put together a new weight program for me to do that concentrates on my back, arms and stomach. I was concentrating on my legs and stomach before. I know I need to work on everything, but with school I can only get so much in. Now it is my job to get the work-out done! I would like to start with getting it in 3x a week along with an hour of cardio 3x/week. Once this semester is done I will be able to do more!
My head is so congested I am not even thinking straight. WI is tomorrow and I am not concerned. I have been using the crockpot almost everyday and eating leftovers for lunch. It makes things really easy when I am not home. I feel like this cold is beating me up inside so I will be happy with whatever that metal devil says, I am just concerned with feeling better.
I need to catch up on all of your blogs so I will update more tomorrow!

B/c bridesmaid and wedding dress makers are EVIL! They are completely evil I tell ya. Can I say that I hate you that you are a size 4?!?!?? Well, not really, but geesh! My sister is a size 4 jeans too (well she just went up a size after gaining almost 10#) but I have no idea what size her wedding dress was. You will find something. I have a friend who found "the dress" with the VERY FIRST dress she tried on. I told her I hated her too. It took me MONTHS!!! Hopefully it won't take you that long.
I think it's great Derek made you up a weight training program. Gotta have those wedding day arms and back for that awesome dress that you will find. :) Don't sweat the school. You will find your groove soon...and then it will be over! LOL!!!
I didn't even make it all the way through your post - YOU ARE FINE - the dresses are European and ALWAYS run 2 to 3 sizes smaller than our American sizes. I freaked when I had to buy a size 12 dress - I'm talking crying, lamenting in the dressing room, hysterical......my mom was convinced that I was going to have a breakdown or something. It was awful - I tried on a million dresses, was totally exhausted and then the one dress that I said was totally not me I put on and it was it!! I knew that it was the one - don't worry - you'll find the perfect dress for the perfect day and you will look like a fairy tale princess - no one will be more beautiful....well Rosie might could give you a run for your money!! LOL
awwwww I Hope you feel better... :) yikes...I don't even want to think about what size I would be in a dress!!
Good thing I am not planning on getting married anytime soon, it gives me time to work on it!!
I have been wearing a size 4 lately too in most brands, but I am short and pudgy haha. DOn't want to think about dresses, I have a big chest which tends to make dresses difficult.

And do not let the dress size get you down. Dress makers are horrible. When I was looking for my dress- I went to one shop and tried the dress on in a size 10 and it would not even go up my arms (mine was off the sholders):0 and then I tried on the same dress, same size at another store and it slid right up my arms and was loose everywhere else. And their sizes are wackier than any jeans maker- hands down!!!
