The long weekend!

It feels like it has been about a month since I have checked in on everyone! Even though I didn't make goal on Wednesday, it was a great day. I spent the entire day in the main office planning and managing Holiday stuff (party, decorations, gifts). This is a tradition for our family every year and I love that I am finally a part of this tradition in the company. Anyways, I decorated an 11 ft. tree at the office and prepared for almost 150 poinsettias to be delivered next week. After the office closed I headed to my stylists and had my hair colored, cut and styled, it felt great to catch up with Mandy and get my mess of a head cleaned up a bit.
Thursday morning Derek and I started cooking around 9. Pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, chocolate pumpkin cupcakes, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberries, rolls, etc... I love cooking and Derek was great in helping me out. We had a lot of fun and just relaxed the rest of the afternoon before heading to my parents to help out for dinner.
We decided late Thursday afternoon that we would attempt to go out shopping on Black Friday! We hit up Kohls first, 55% off our AeroBed! Next it was to Ulta were I picked out some new perfume. We headed back home to pack our bags for the weekend before heading out to Macys. I found a couple sweaters and a blouse on sale and then headed for the shoe department, were I found these! I know what you are thinking, who in their right mind would pay that much for a pair of boots? Me! Yep, I am a Coach FANATIC! I have everything Coach, from luggage and purses to keychains and glasses. I just cannot get enough of the stuff. When I saw the boots I knew I had to try them on, I didn't expect to like them as much as I did though. We had a 20% off coupon and Derek bought them as my Christmas present this year. I just love them, I need to find some better jeans to show them off with though.
Anyways, we spent way too much money, but it was fun! We headed for his parents house around noon and spent the weekend just hanging out.
As far as food goes, I really didn't go overboard on Thanksgiving, I did however eat anything and everything that looked good the rest of the weekend. It was something about being "out of town". I was up just a little this morning, I am back on track today though and drinking all the water I can handle!!

Sounds like you had a great weekend!!! And those boots?!?! Very cute! I would never pay that much for shoes, but I know people who do. :) You need to post a picture of the updated 'do. :)

So glad that you had a fun weekend!! The boots are cute but ouch on the pricetag.......guess we all have our vices though. I'm the girl who will spend insane amounts of money on makeup so hey, I can't talk.

Goal here Mandy comes - girl you will be there in a week........you are so awesome! I thought about you over the weekend as I was decorating my house for Christmas. My wedding theme was snowflakes too and I carried 2 crystal snowflakes in my bouquet - they now hang on our tree every year. We have one for our son and one for our "not born yet baby".......I also put out the garland that my flower girls carried - it is all lit with lights and has snowflakes hanging from it.....so all i could think of was my super awesome blogger buddy who inspires me and constantly amazes me with how much love and support she offers! HUGS!
