So I had my first training session with my BodyBugg Coach last night, I actually learned a few tricks for navigating the website and I am excited about seeing results. I am frustrated with some of his ideas though. Currently I had my goals set at burning 2150 calories each day and consuming 1400, that is a 750 calorie deficit each day or 1.5 lbs/week. Included in this goal was activity time of 1 hour each day and 10,000 steps taken. I have been working hard to exceed these each day, I plug in at least 40 minutes on the treadmill each day and take small walks around the office far more then necessary to do my job. Since I have been meeting these goals my coach suggested I try to increase them so it is more of a "challenge". At the time it seemed to make sense, how else do I increase my metabolism. But I already feel challenged and burned out by the end of the day with my current goals. I guess I am a little discouraged that he doesn't think I am doing enough.
His suggestion was to burn 2450 calories a day and take 13,000 steps. This also would include bumping my activity level up to 2.5 hours each day. I get why I need to challenge myself, but it seems to me that by setting my goals this high I am setting myself up to fail which will only discourage me from the real task at hand.
I think for now I am going to continue to try and reach my original goals, when that becomes routine I will keep these new numbers to plug in and create a new challenge to work towards.
Tomorrow is WI day, I have been up and down the same couple of lbs the past few days so hopefully I like what I see on the scale tomorrow.

Hey there girl!!! I am so sorry I am just now commenting--please know that I am ALWAYS reading!!!
I have been so far behind in my reading and commenting lately, so here I am.
I think 2.5 hours a day of activity is un-reachable. Add to that a full time job, a house to take care of, a husband and eventually kids...when will you sleep? You are doing AWESOME in attaining your other goals...I'd just wait and let those become so natural to you...then shake it up a bit. I am lucky to get 30 minutes a day to myself now and I usually spend it cleaning up a kitchen or one of the kids messes. But I would LOVE to have that much time 'free' every day to exercise, although I probably wouldn't. You aren't on the biggest loser here. :) You are doing great! I am jealous of your Bodybugg too!!! And seriously thinking about TTC...you know I'm here for you 100%!!!! Miss you!!!
Oh and Happy (late) Birthday to Rosie! I can't believe she is 3. And good for your sister for getting out of a bad marriage. Rosie's cake was AWESOME too!!!
Love the new dog too. So sweet and I love the pic of Derek with her and Rosie--he's going to be a great daddy some day. :)
Glad you had such a great time in Vegas--what a great way to spend a weekend!!!
Hope it's okay I left all my comments in one post. :) HUGS!!!
