Rosie is so excited for the Easter bunny! If you start to talk about it she gets all red and giddy and can't stop laughing...funniest thing ever! She has learned to say "That's funny" and whenever you laugh she points and says "tat funny"! We had such a ball this weekend. It was really cold all weekend so we didn't go out much but Rosie is at that age where anything can amuse her. Her favorite thing to do (besides put on makeup) was to follow around the cat going "meeoooowww" I felt bad for the little guy but it was so cute. She is surprisingly really good with the cats, she is very calm when she approaches them and she is VERY gentle when she pets them. So sweet. So anyways, I was horrible this weekend. I ate french fries, stir fry, slice of pizza, chips and chocolate! I am up a pound as of this morning but hey, at least I am eating food again! I will be getting back to tracking and buckling down once I am back from Florida.
I cannot wait to get out of here! Just one more day of work and we are off to sunny Florida! WooHoo! It should be fun and interesting to have Rosie on the airplane. She is in Auntie mode recently and she gets mad if anyone else even touches something of hers if I am around. It's a lot of work for me but I feel very honored. What can I say? She is my little buddy!
About my surprise!!! Well I still don't have the pictures but I will let you in. I have been wanting to decorate some more around the house but since we have so many bills from my surgery we really don't have the extra cash to do to much. Well, we were walking into the grocery store 2 Fridays ago when I saw an older women unloading her trunk of a crib and changing table. There is a Once Upon A Child store right next door (baby consignment). Derek saw her as well and noticed her struggling with everything. We walked over to see if we could help out and she was so gracious. I took a closer look and was thinking, geez, this stuff looks brand new. Turns out she has a granddaughter in Arizona and she bought it for when she visits (total of 4 weekends), her granddaughter is too old for it now so she was going to give it away. I asked her how much she wanted for it and she said since we were so kind for helping her out that we could have both pieces. We gave her $50 anyways since she probably could have easily made $200+ for both pieces.
We spent the rest of the weekend painting the room, and setting everything up. We found an adorable chandelier for $20 in the clearance aisle of the hardware store. And I found a bunch of clearance sheets at Target. I bought some fabric at the fabric store to make some other pieces as well. It is so adorable and perfectly "Rosie"! She saw it for the first time on Friday and she threw her little arms in the air, screamed and ran around looking at everything. Every time someone came over she had to bring them up there to show off "her room"! I will try to get the pictures tonight and post tomorrow before I leave!
